Otto is a young talented dog owned and trialled by John Halstead, Otto is a very sensible dog with plenty of style. Described as having a kind temperament which is a line trait and particularly reminiscent of his great grandsire FTCH Emmanygan Ramble. Otto has already qualified and competed in two International Gundog League Championships even at his young age. Ottos sire Gunnerspeg Apollo came 3rd in the IGL Retriever Championship 2025, his grand sire is FTCH Astrix Aguizannis of Chatsworth owned by the Duchess of Devonshire another solid producer of champions and who won the IGL Retriever Championship in 2015.

Dam – Gillaisling Zuri

Nala was bred here at Gillaisling Gundogs. We own and work her and her mother, who can both be viewed. They have been a pleasure to own and have trained, both being honest workers whether picking up or in the beating line sweeping up after drives. Working on all terrains including various moorlands and lowland shoots. Nala is sired by FTCH Etomanni Missouri who is a highly accomplished dog having achieved FTCH status and finished 2nd at the 2024 IGL Retriever Championship. The mother’s line is well known to me being the main reason I purchased her and is from a long line of genuine biddable working dogs complimented by FTCH’s and FTW’s. She is sired by Field Trial Winner Blackthorn Ilmarinen at Drakeshead. He himself bred from 2 FTCH’s and has an immaculate pedigree containing FTW’s, FTCH’s and International FTCH’s.

These pups have genuinely wanted for nothing. Socialised and brought up in our family home with children. Both the pups and their dam are fed on top quality dog food and supplemented on raw feed with no expense spared. The pups will be wormed, will have had a preventative flea treatment, and will be KC registered. They will also be vet checked when they receive their 1st vaccinations and will be microchipped. All pups will leave with a bag of puppy food which they will be weaned onto before leaving, and I will help support new owners should they need any help or advice. 

This litter was bred for all the right reasons with the driving factor being for me to keep a pup myself and continue this line. The litter consists of black dogs and bitches and one yellow dog pup. We now have just 1 dog pup and 1 bitch pup available. Our dogs have proved to be perfect family dogs and done all I have asked of them both at home and in the field. By using the best possible studs such as Otto I am confident that the pups will be both an asset and investment for the new owners. These pups will suit trialling homes, working homes, or active family pets where new owners are keen to purchase a quality well-bred and healthy pup with great trainability potential.
