Final Puppy available - One Dog
We have a lovely litter of 10 German Wirehaired Pointer puppies (5 dogs, 5 bitches), liver and white. However, we only have only 1 Dog left.
This is Margot’s first and only litter, and we wanted to continue her line because she is such a special dog. She is calm, kind-natured and incredibly biddable. She is a brilliant and a natural worker, with excellent hunting instincts for pointing, hunting, and retrieving, and has a particularly good nose.
Banni (Drax Mkii), the sire is a working dog owned by a gamekeeper in North Yorkshire. He is fully health checked and is registered. The maternal grandfather is field trial champion Merle Haggard. Margot’s mother and sister are in the family (available to meet), and we know her siblings share the same affectionate nature.
The puppies are strong, healthy, and full of character, and are being raised with good handling and early socialisation.
• Vaccinations booked
• Will be flea and wormed
• Will be microchipped
• Tails legally ¾ docked by a registered vet (certification provided)
We are keen that the puppies go to kind, knowledgeable homes, whether to working or active families, who understand the breed.
£1,000 and ask a 50% deposit is paid. Ready from 14th July. Please get in touch if you might be interested.
Protect yourself when buying, selling or studding your dog. Follow these guidelines:
Always see the gun dog in person at the breeder's location before paying any money.
See the puppies with the Dam and possibly the Sire if available.
Check all paperwork is correct, including the KC number and dates of birth.
If something feels wrong, walk away. Ask lots of questions about breeding history, health, vaccinations, and registration.
Be vigilant and seek advice from a third party if you're unsure.
Only purchase when you are absolutely sure about the dog and the breeder.
Buying a gun dog is your responsibility. Research the breed and the breeder thoroughly before committing.
The breeder should let you see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're buying.
Puppies should appear happy, healthy and inquisitive. Do not buy unwell puppies.
Puppies should only be sold once they are 8 weeks old.
Check the whelping environment. Is it clean? Do dogs have clean water and food?
Write up a contract to safeguard both you and the breeder.
Do not leave without the KC registration form and all documents once payment is made.
Never buy a gun dog in a car park. Always visit the breeder's establishment.
